The leftover mochi from New Year holidays turned into a feast .

Once the toppings are cooked through, it's done. If you want make this even faster, lightly sauté the toppings beforehand before adding them to the mochi base, and sprinkle on the cheese. Recipe by Soraheno omoi

Ingredients

  1. 5pieces Mochi (rice cakes)
  2. 1/2Avocado
  3. 1Garlic powder
  4. 2 slice☆Ham
  5. 2 slice☆Bacon
  6. 1☆Tomato
  7. 1/2☆Yellow bell pepper
  8. 8☆Peeled shrimp
  9. 1Salt and pepper
  10. 1Pizza cheese
  11. 1optional Herbs

Cooking Instructions

    Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan, and place the mochi pieces which have been cut in half. Pan-fry over medium heat.

    Flip the 'crust' over many times to prevent it from burning. Form a round shape by pressing down hard with a spatula.

    Mash the avocado into a paste, spread on the mochi, and sprinkle with garlic powder.

    Cut up the ☆ ingredients so that they're easy to eat, and place on the cooked mochi base from Step 4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper → cheese → herbs in that order. Cover with a lid, and cook in the pan for 7 ~ 8 minutes.

    The crispy, chewy crust is so good.
