Akara is one of the best food made with beans it’s so unique in its taste especially when blended with crayfish.
It can be eaten anytime of the day, especially now that it’s the fasting period can be taken with custard, pap,kunu especially for my light meal fam or anything you prefer it with even bread.

Ingredients

  1. 1 tincup of picked Oloyin beans
  2. 1big bulb of onion
  3. 3 piecesshombo or bawa pepper
  4. 1 tbscrayfish
  5. 1 tspsalt
  6. 1 cupgroundnut oil for frying
  7. 1/4 cupWater to blend
  8. Custard
  9. 2 sachetscustard
  10. 4-5 tbsWater for dilution
  11. Boiling water
  12. Suagr or honey to taste
  13. Milk of your choice

Cooking Instructions

    Peel your beans by washing with water

    Separate the shafts from the beans using a sieve

  3. 3

    Allow to soak in water for 5 mins

  4. 4

    Then transfer to your blender adding your already peeled onions and diced, already washed pepper, and your washed crayfish

  5. 5

    Then add your water and blend till it’s smooth and thick

  6. 6

    Remove from blender and stir well with your turning stick or spoon till it’s fluffy, then add in your salt and stir again

  7. 7

    Now preheat your oil in a pan

  8. 8

    Use an eating spoon to scoop in to the oil
    Turn to the other side as soon as the side is cooked one after the other till it’s golden brown

    Then remove from oil and your akara is ready👍🏾

    Custard powder should be poured in a serving bowl

    Creat a well and pour the water gradually and stir till it’s totally dissolved

  12. 12

    Then pour in the boiling water till it’s thick and cover the bowl for 1 mins

  13. 13

    Then you put your sugar or honey to taste, then stir and add enough milk of your choice
