Ingredients

  1. 1large red onion, peeled and julienned
  2. 1 1/2 cupred wine vinegars
  3. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  4. 1/4 teaspoonblack pepper
  5. 2 tablespoonssugar

Cooking Instructions

    Mix all of the ingredients except the onion in a small saucepan, heating until the salt and sugar have dissolved

  2. 2

    Place the onions in a tall glass jar and pour the vinegar mixture over it. Press the onions down to submerge them in the liquid. The onions should be covered with the vinegar

  3. 3

    Place in the refrigerator for 24 hours and then may use.
