Seared Salmon with Onion-Balsamic Sauce

I made this recipe because my husband loves salmon.
Raw salmon isn't my favorite, but I find it alright when it's seared.
This goes well with the onion-balsamic sauce.

-The amount of salmon in the photograph is 200 g.
-Make sure to sauté the onion well. It becomes sweet and blends well with the sauce.
-You can save time by microwaving the onion before you sauté in Step 3.
-The salmon crumbles easily when cut freshly cooked. Make sure it's cooled down slightly, and slice with a sharp knife. For 1 to 2 servings. Recipe by putimiko

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 100 gramsSashimi grade salmon
  2. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  3. 1 dashGarlic
  4. 1/4to 1/6 medium Onion
  5. 1 1/2 tbspBalsamic vinegar
  6. 1 1/2 tbspSoy sauce
  7. 1/2 tsp● Consomme bouillon
  8. 1/2 tspSugar
  9. 1 tspButter
  10. 1Olive oil
  11. 1if you have some, (as needed) Vegetables as a relish

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Rub the grated garlic into the salmon and season both sides with salt and pepper. Slice the onion thinly. Mix all of the ● seasonings together.

  2. 2

Heat some oil in a frying pan and sear the salmon. Remove it when both sides are golden brown. Adjust the doneness to your liking. Be careful not to overcook it.

  3. 3

Add oil in the same frying pan and sauté the onion. Do not burn; sauté until wilted and transparent. When it's reduced to 1/3 of the original amount, add the combined ● seasonings.

  4. 4

Add butter to the onion in Step 3 to finish the sauce. Slice the salmon. Arrange on a serving plate with side vegetables and serve with the sauce.

  5. 5

Here's the same dish made with tuna. I also tried red sea bream and young yellowtail, and all worked well with the sauce. Try it with your favorite sashimi.
