Simple Spring Cabbage & Bacon Soup Pasta

I made a simple, personalized version of some pasta I had at a restaurant.

Shown in the picture is thin spaghetti broken in half and boiled for 7 minutes. Short pasta, such as penne also works well.
If you don't have any spring cabbage, use regular cabbage and add it 2-3 minutes earlier to the pot. For 2 servings. Recipe by Cha-miru

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 160 gramsPasta
  2. 1/4Spring cabbage
  3. 4 sliceBacon
  4. 1/2Onion
  5. 1 cloveGarlic
  6. 1Red chili pepper
  7. 1Soup stock cube
  8. 1 pinchSalt
  9. 1 dashCoarsely ground pepper
  10. 1as much (to taste) Grated cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the bacon into short strips, and slice the onion and garlic. Cut the spring cabbage into bite-sized pieces.

    Pour1 tablespoon of olive oil to a deep frying pan. Add the garlic and red chili pepper, and cook until aromatic.

    Add the onions and bacon and lightly cook. Add 1000ml (5 cups) of water, the soup stock cube, and a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil.

    Once it comes to a boil, skim off any scum. Break the pasta in half and add to boiling water.

    Add the spring cabbage one minute before the pasta finishes boiling. Season with herb salts such as Krazy Salt.

    Transfer to a serving plate, and if desired, top with coarsely ground black pepper and powdered cheese, and enjoy.
