These are way more delicious than store-bought ones!

I don't have any hints in particular.
They're also delicious with the filling changed to chocolate or custard cream. For 12 buns. Recipe by kobch

Ingredients

12 servings
  1. A
  2. 280 gramsBread (strong) flour
  3. 1 mediumEgg
  4. 20 gramsSugar
  5. 3 gramsSalt
  6. 5 gramsInstant dry yeast
  7. 30 gramsUnsalted butter
  8. 140 gramsMilk
  9. 350 gramsCoarsely mashed sweet bean paste, or smooth sweet red bean paste
  10. B
  11. 1Egg yolk
  12. 1 tspWater

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Put the A ingredients into a bread maker. Start the "dough course" and wait until the 1st rising is finished.

  2. 2

Remove from the bread maker and roll into a ball. Cover with a bowl and let it sit for 20 minutes.

  3. 3

Divide into 12 portions and roll into balls again. Cover with a tightly wrung out kitchen towel to prevent them from drying.

  4. 4

Wrap your desired amount of sweet red bean paste with the dough. Seal the seams together completely. Position the rolls with the seam side down.

  5. 5

(Please leave enough space between the balls to allow them to double in size.) Let them rise (2nd rising) for about 40 minutes until they double in size.

  6. 6

Preheat the oven to 200°C. In the mean time, Mix the B ingredients well, and brush with this mixture evenly all over.

  7. 7

Reduce the oven temperature to 190°C, and bake for about 15 minutes, then they're done.

  8. 8

It's also a great idea to set aside about 2 balls of bread without filling them with sweet red bean paste to use as decoration instead.

  9. 9

    Or like this.
