  1. 2frozen small Cod fillets (defrost before batter)
  2. Cornflour too coat non soaking wet fish
  3. For the batter
  4. 100 gPlain Flour
  5. Halfa small bottle of Sparkling Water
  6. Maris Piper Potatoes A whole bag peeled chopped an left in water
  7. 1 cubeWhite sliced bread
  8. Vegetable Oil enough to fill a large Wok
  9. Salt and Vinegar or Tomato Ketchup Sauce etc

Cooking Instructions

20 minutes
  1. 1

Defrost small frozen fish fillets and then peel the potatoes cut them almost into Fries - if you want chunky Chips then the deep frying will take longer. Leave the homemade Chips in cold water within a large mixing bowl

  2. 2

Place Vegetable Oil in your large non-stick Wok etc. And then place a cube of White sliced bread into the cold or warm Vegetable Oil. Keep the hob on the highest setting and then when the hot Vegetable Oil crisps up the cube of bread - then take it out with a Slotted Spoon etc. And then turn the hob down too the lowest simmer and then add 4 large handfuls of the Chips and then deep fry them on the highest hob heat for 10 minutes and then use the Slotted Spoon too transfer too a empty Pan

  3. 3

Wash defrosted small Fish fillets in cold water and then dry with Kitchen Roll and then place Cornflour on a Dinner Plate etc. And then coat the small Fish fillets on both sides with the Cornflour and then in a small Dessert Bowl add the 100g Plain Flour and then open the small Plastic bottle of Sparkling Water and then gradually add half of the bottle. Keep stirring with a Dessert Spoon and then add the Cornflour Fish fillets too the batter and then deep fry for 10 minutes

  4. 4

Deep fry the leftover raw batter for 10 minutes as well. Give the battered Fish fillets 5 minutes along with the scraps and then place the cooked Chips back into the hot Vegetable Oil again and then deep fry for a further 5 minutes and then place 4 doubled up sheets of Kitchen Roll on a platter etc. And then use the Slotted Spoon too transfer the cooked food onto the Kitchen Roll. Add Salt and Malt Vinegar and then enjoy eating
