Sweet and Spicy Braised Pork Belly with Daikon Radish Sweet and Spicy Braised Pork Belly with Daikon Radish
Braised pork belly and daikon radish has been always one of the side dishes I make, but I added some changes to the recipe a friend's mum showed me. I made it more substantial using my usual ingredients. The daikon absorbs the flavour as it is cooled down. It tastes better when left to stand for a while than eaten straight away. It is nice if you cook boiled eggs together with it. If you heat the daikon for 2 to 3 minutes in a microwave beforehand you can cook the dish quickly. Recipe by Nokosandon cookpad.japan -
Easy Sweet and Sour Bite-Size Pork Belly Easy Sweet and Sour Bite-Size Pork Belly
If the pieces of pork are too big, they can be hard to eat, so I made this with small bits.I was able to reduce the cooking time by cutting the veggies and pork into small pieces.Since I like garlic, I added it to my sweet and sour pork and it tasted great.Chopping the vegetables into small sizes should reduce the amount of time it takes for them to cook, but for those who prefer larger sized pieces, heat the carrots in the microwave first to cut down on cooking time.Leave the grease from the pork in Step 3 in the pan, and sauté the vegetables in the grease in Step 4. For 4 servings. Recipe by Milis cookpad.japan -

Delicious Sweet and Sour Pork Delicious Sweet and Sour Pork
I've come across many recipes where the vinegar taste was too strong or it was too sweet. So, I experimented a bit to get just the right balance of sweet and sour!If you cook the vegetables in the microwave, you don't have to sauté them! It's so easy!If you coat the meat in katakuriko, then lumps of the starch won't form.On Step 6, mix the sauce well once more before putting it into the pan. This is because the katakuriko will have hardened while waiting. Recipe by Puru berry cookpad.japan -

I decided to roast it simply because it takes a long time to simmer.Use the juice of the grated onion as well. You need about 1/4 of an onion. I've indicated the amount in tablespoons to make it easier. The roasting time differs depending on the thickness of the meat. Turn it over when it's lightly browned on one side, and watch it so that it cooks through thoroughly. Recipe by Mirunesan cookpad.japan -

This is a standard dish in my house. We've been making it for years.Change the amounts of vegetables as you like. Adjust the amounts of ketchup and sugar to your taste. If you are counting calories, you can boil the vegetables in Step 2 instead of frying them. Add a little oil when boiling them. You can use carrot instead of red pepper.
