Cooking Instructions
- 1
Place the liver in a strainer, rinse lightly with water, then soak it in a bowl of milk for about 10 minutes. (This removes the odor.)
- 2
Remove the liver from the milk, place it in a strainer, rinse lightly with water, sprinkle with sake, and lay it on paper towels to remove moisture.
- 3
Heat a frying pan and add sesame oil.
- 4
Arrange the liver pieces in the pan without overlapping and cook over medium heat. (About 1-2 minutes per side) *Cook the liver briefly to avoid it becoming tough.
- 5
Once browned, flip the liver and cook the other side over medium heat until browned. (It's done if no blood comes out when pierced with chopsticks.)
- 6
Add the ● seasonings to the pan and simmer over medium heat until the liver is coated.
- 7
When there's a little liquid left, add the sesame seeds, mix, and turn off the heat. (The sauce should be sufficiently reduced by this point.)
- 8
Serve on a plate and it's ready.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a nice presentation. Enjoy! - 9

I've come across many recipes where the vinegar taste was too strong or it was too sweet. So, I experimented a bit to get just the right balance of sweet and sour!If you cook the vegetables in the microwave, you don't have to sauté them! It's so easy!If you coat the meat in katakuriko, then lumps of the starch won't form.On Step 6, mix the sauce well once more before putting it into the pan. This is because the katakuriko will have hardened while waiting. Recipe by Puru berry cookpad.japan -

Sweet and Spicy Braised Pork Belly with Daikon Radish Sweet and Spicy Braised Pork Belly with Daikon Radish
Braised pork belly and daikon radish has been always one of the side dishes I make, but I added some changes to the recipe a friend's mum showed me. I made it more substantial using my usual ingredients. The daikon absorbs the flavour as it is cooled down. It tastes better when left to stand for a while than eaten straight away. It is nice if you cook boiled eggs together with it. If you heat the daikon for 2 to 3 minutes in a microwave beforehand you can cook the dish quickly. Recipe by Nokosandon cookpad.japan
