Lemon Jam Lemon Jam
We received a lot of freshly picked lemons as a gift. The cooking time will vary depending on how strong the heat is, so adjust.By not simmering it for too long, you can preserve the fragrance and color of the lemons. If you leave the white pith, it will be bitter. Thinly peel off just the zest using a vegetable peeler. You don't have to parboil the zest - it will still be delicious. Recipe by Yukijirushi cookpad.japan -

Tart and Delicious Lemon Jam Tart and Delicious Lemon Jam
The jam from the local sightseeing farm was so delicious, so I wanted to try making it myself. Before this, I had never had lemon jam. When cool, it's nice and thick, so stop cooking it when it gets to the point where it seems just a bit too runny. This time, I made sweet lemon peels from the lemon peel by taking it out along the way and boiling it many times, so the amount of lemon peel has been reduced. It's okay even without lemon peels. Small Batch No-Canning Raspberry Lemon Jam Small Batch No-Canning Raspberry Lemon Jam
While canning can get a little involved, just making a small batch of jam is simple and easy. I've already discussed that a bit here on my No-Canning Strawberry Jam:https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/recipes/2453113-no-canning-strawberry-jamJust some basic guidelines to apply to the making of any fruit jam that'll also come in handy for this recipe.Someone asked me the other day what the difference is between a jam and a preserve. My take on it is that jam is really just a subset of preserves, preserves including any number of preparations intended to make raw ingredients last much longer without spoilage than they would otherwise. Generally speaking, all jams are preserves, but not all preserves are jams.Would you be wrong to call this a raspberry preserve? Am I wrong to call this a raspberry jam? Not in my book. ;) x -
Simple Persimmon Jam Simple Persimmon Jam
I wanted to make a jam because some persimmons I had received became too soft.If you use persimmons that aren't overripe, slice them thinly and let them sit for an hour after mixing with the sugar to make syrup. You do not need to add the 50 ml of water if you do it this way (you can add the water if not enough syrup formed). I used 25% as much sugar as the persimmons. Please adjust this amount to your taste. Recipe by ankobby cookpad.japan -

Even though it's easy, it gets great mileage. We use it on bread, scones, and in sweets. The key to maintaining the fresh red color is to simmer it on medium heat for a short amount of time. Please be sure to carefully remove the scum. It makes all the difference in the result. Recipe by Toiroiro cookpad.japan -
