Bacon N Bratwurst Soup

My sister begs me every year to make a pot of this soup.

Tastes just like cheeseburgers!! I'm going to add more bacon and less mustard next time though :)

The recipe isn't difficult or time-consuming and I prepare this whenever I'm hungry.I posted this because the crispy texture of pan-fried bacon goes very well with the soup.Lentil soup is common in India, but adding bacon was my own idea.・I recommend to thicken the soup. The consistency should be when the soup easily slips off the spoon. This came about by a cold winter mountain day after Thanksgiving, and craving a nice warm soup. Unfortunately, due to allergies I cannot have store brought soup so I decided to try my hand at a beand and bacon soup, because I loved it as a child until I got deathly ill and developed allergens.

I wanted to enjoy a generous portion of spring cabbage since I had a lot lying around so I came up with the soup! The umami of the bacon, the sweetness of the cabbage and the miso are a perfect match!The big eaters in my family love this!The umami of the bacon and miso combined is really delicious. This recipe is a quick and easy favorite. It is easy to prepare and so yummy.

My Dad loved beans with every meal, so I cannot eat them without thinking of him and "home". You may use this recipe with any kind of beans. Navy beans or pinto beans are good made with ham too and I would not add lemon pepper to pinto beans.

My husband loves this recipe.
