This year my mom taught me how to make potato soup for my husband (being the only soup he'll eat) and I made it so many times it got boring. So I threw in some seafood, heavy cream, garlic, and bacon and made a whole different meal! Still kinda tastes like moms potato soup but now it's Kaylas seafood chowder!

Ingredients

  1. 1 packagesbacon, crumbled
  2. 1 cuponion, chopped
  3. 1 canchicken broth
  4. 1 boxau gratin potato mix
  5. 3 1/2 cupmilk
  6. 1 lbcooked shrimp
  7. 2 canclams
  8. 1/2 cupsour cream
  9. 1paprika
  10. 1garlic powder
  11. 1basil
  12. 1salt
  13. 1 pintsheavy whipping cream

Cooking Instructions

    Mix bacon, onions, chicken broth, potato mix, milk, heavy cream, and seasonings in sauce pan and bring to a boil.

    Stir in shrimp, clams, and sour cream. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 20 minutes.
