Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°

Grease or line an 8x8 pan.

Base: cream 1/2 cup butter and sugar, then add flour until it forms a soft dough. Press into base of pan. Bake for 20 mins.

Filling: cream butter and sugar, then mix remaining ingredients (except raisin s) until smooth. Poor over base, bake for 25 mins.

Let cool, cut into squares. Yum!!

This tart recipe uses fig syrup.Whenever I make this syrup, I crave this pie. Usually I use butter, but I replaced it with margarine this time. Use the same quantity as butter.You can also make the filling in a food processor. In this case, first make the tart crust, then make the filling.
