Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1 1/2 cupflour
  2. 1/3 cupshortening or lard
  3. 1/3 cupbutter
  4. 1/4 tspsalt
  5. 1/4 cupvery cold water
  6. 1 tspvinegar
  7. 1 1/2 tbspsugar
  8. 1egg

Cooking Instructions

    In a bowl, combine the flour, shortening, butter and salt. Cut together until the fats are in small pea sized pieces.

    In a measuring cup mix together the cold water, vinegar, sugar, and egg with a fork.

  3. 3

    Add the liquids to the dry ingredients and blend with a fork. Form into a flattened ball. Dust the counter with flour and roll out the pastry.

    This pastry may be refrigerated or frozen for later use.

Fastest, easiest pie crust recipe I've found. Good in a pinch when you need a fast crust. Cooks up flaky and delicious.
