Mashed potatoes with minced meat and green peas stew

Ingredients

  1. 3/4Kgs golden potatoes, peeled and cut into half
  2. Salt and black pepper
  3. 3tablespoonful unsalted butter and more to taste
  4. 3/4 Cupwhole milk
  5. 3/4 Cupsour/fermented milk
  6. 1/4 Kgboiled green peas
  7. 1/2 KgMinced beef
  8. 3bulb onions, chopped
  9. 3 clovesgarlic, grounded
  10. 1green pepper, chopped
  11. 3 spoonfulscooking oil
  12. 1 handfulChinese parsley (dania)

Cooking Instructions

    Place the potatoes in a large pot and add enough cold water to cover. Bring to a boil and add salt to taste. Reduce heat and simmer until very tender, 20 to 25 minutes. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

    Add the butter, sour cream, ¾ cup of the milk, salt to taste, and ½ teaspoon black pepper to the potatoes and mash until smooth (adding more milk if necessary). Serve topped with additional butter and pepper.

    For the minced meat and peas On medium heat place the cooking pot with the cooking oil and add the chopped onions. Let them heat till brown and add the minced meat, stir and cover for a few minutes.

    Add salt and a teaspoon of black pepper to taste and the boiled green peas. Cover and let it cook as you stir for 3 minutes.

    Serve while hot.
