Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsHoney beans
  2. 3large tatashe peppers, deseeded
  3. 2medium onions
  4. 5-10scotch bonnet chillies (depending on your heat tolerance)
  5. 1/2 cupcrayfish
  6. 1/2 cupvegetable oil
  7. 1 cupcooked Prawns (optional)
  8. Mackerel fish, flaked (optional)
  9. 2 cupsfish stock
  10. 3Hard boiled eggs (optional)
  11. cubesSeasoning
  12. Salt

Cooking Instructions

    Soak your beans in water for 5 minutes. Drain the beans and rub between your palms to remove their outer skin.

    After peeling, blend your beans along with the tatashe, onions, crayfish, chillies. Use just enough water to allow the blades of your blender move freely.

    Transfer the beans puree to a bowl and add your fish stock, little by little till you reach your desired consistency. Add you Seasoning cubes, salt, and vegetable oil; Mix thoroughly.

    Add your prawns and flaked fish and combine. Divide you batter into your desired containers, add slices of hard boiled eggs to each container and cover. Place the containers in a large pot and add hot water to the pot.

    Cook for 45minutes to an hour.
