  1. base
  2. 1/2 cupbutter
  3. 1yellow onion, diced
  4. 32 ozfrozen broccoli
  5. 1 lbshredded cheddar cheese
  6. 1 cupwater
  7. 2/3 cupcorn starch
  8. 1 tbspextra virgin olive oil
  9. 2 tbspseasoning salt, plus more to taste
  10. 1 tspeach black and white pepper
  11. 1 tspgarlic powder
  12. 1 quarthalf and half

Cooking Instructions

    Melt butter over medium heat

    Add onion and cook until onion is soft, stirring frequently

  3. 3

    Add broccoli, olive oil, and half and half

  4. 4

    Add seasoning salt and pepper.

    Bring to boil, reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring

  6. 6

    Reduce heat to low and stir in cheese, continuing to stir until cheese is melted and evenly distributed among the soup

  7. 7

    Stir in garlic powder

    In another bowl, slowly add cornstarch to water, stirring

  9. 9

    Add mixture to soup slowly, stirring until an even consistency is achieved
