Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbutter
  2. 1 cupsuperfine sugar
  3. 2 2/3 cupall purpose flour
  4. 2 tspvanilla essence
  5. 1egg
  6. 1 1/2 tspbaking powder
  7. 2 pinchsalt

    mix butter and sugar in a bowl and beat it till light and fluffy.

    add egg and vanilla essence to it

    in a separate plate mix flour and baking powder and sieve it so that it mixes well

  4. 4

    add the flour mixture and salt to the batter in the bowl

  5. 5

    prepare the dough and refrigerate for atleast 1 hour

  6. 6

    preheat the oven at 200°F

  7. 7

    if butter paper is not available prepare the oven tray for baking. apply a little oil to it evenly and sprinkle flour on.it..make sure that flour spreads evenly

    mould the cookies using hand or a cookie cutter.

    place the cookies on the tray and bake it till it is light golden

  10. 10

    cool them on cooling racks
