Red Mud Pie

We belong to a Mud Club, and I was looking for something sweet, yummy, and symbolic of an event we were having. I found several recipes, but none fit my taste or my timeframe. So I made my own. Family loves it. Great crowd pleaser too.

very good, very chocolatity but not overly chocolate!! If u like pecans u could add a layer of nuts!!

I have no idea how many calories.Way back when I was going to college, I worked at a restaurant in Mequon called First Place East. I could always sell this awesome dessert. Even if the people were full, I'd suggest for them to split a piece and they'd always go for it.Many years later when I wasn't working there anymore I'd remember this Mississippi mud pie and I thought I'm going to try to make it. so this is my rendition

I used a walnut pie crust so yummy.

This pie is a tradition in my family. I have to make at least two pies every Thanksgiving and Christmas. The pie is so light that even after you've eaten a large meal you'll always still have room for a slice.

I love this as a donut, make it well and it will taste like one. You could make the topping out of maple or butterscotch chips as well if you want to excite me.

My daughter started baking by herself at age 10 and this is her favorite pie to make for the holidays - especially when others requested it for their family. It originated from the recipes of B. Smith and transformed into something more. I stated this will make 2 8in deep dish pies but it would probably make that plus a regular size pie. Enjoy!

Nothing says summer like the light citrus flavor of key lime pie! As we are quickly blowing through the summer season it occurred to me, I had not made a key lime pie all season. With thirty minutes to spare and not a single key lime in the house... I pulled together this delicious, gorgeous pie. The meringue is optional but gives such an improvement to the look of an otherwise lifeless looking pie. Also, I do not use food coloring (what's in that stuff anyway) but if synthetic and complicated chemical names are your thing you can green your pie up as you see fit. Regardless of pie color and meringue, this pie is a silky citrus filled treat for any occasion. I hope you enjoy.

In this recipe I like to make a double batch so I don't have to measure out the peanut butter. This recipe also makes a little extra pie filling so it's your choice to overflow the pie crust or save the rest for other desserts like ice cream.

Takes a long time to make the toffee but it is easy as pie!
