Peanut Sauce for Siomay or Batagor

Since I was a kid, I often made peanut sauce for siomay or batagor, but it never turned out delicious 😂😢😥. The texture was always too thick, and the oil just wouldn't come out 😢. I once tried using coconut milk, but it didn't taste good (probably misread the recipe since I was just a kid 😂). I also tried using mashed steamed potatoes, which was quite tasty. Back then, I would just blend the peanuts with water and cook it on low heat, but it took forever for the oil to come out. It turns out you need to cook the blended peanuts first until the oil comes out before adding water.

Homemade Spicy Peanut Sauce (Indonesian Sambel Kacang) Homemade Spicy Peanut Sauce (Indonesian Sambel Kacang)
This peanut sauce originated from Indonesia, also known as a sambel kacang or sambel pecel. It made from fried or roasted peanuts and then added chili and spices, blend or grind it into smooth peanut paste. Nowadays besides in Indonesia, peanut sauce is widely used in cuisine worldwide such as China, Thailand, and Vietnam in various versions and recipes. Peanut sauce can be use as salad dressing, satay (meat skewers), dipping sauce for any appetizers such as egg rolls or spring rolls, also can enjoy it over steamed rice or steamed vegetables. You can buy ready -to-eat Indonesian peanut sauce in most of Asian store. But the taste quite little bit different. I like to make my own peanut sauce, since it’s easy to make, and of course I will have a better taste peanut sauce than the ready-to-eat one. The ingredients I used are very simple as well as the steps how to make it. Nia Hiura -
Super Easylicious Peanut Sauce Super Easylicious Peanut Sauce
This super easy and delicious recipe for peanut sauce takes no time to make and is a great accompaniment for wraps, summer rolls, crudites, satays, and assorted appetizers like egg rolls and dumplings. If thinned down just a bit with a little more citrus and vegetable or toasted sesame oil, it also makes a great dressing for a cold Asian-inspired noodle salad.Omit the sriracha and chilies, and it's super kid-friendly, too!If you don't already have Hoisin sauce in your pantry, I would highly recommend it. It's a wonderfully versatile and generally palate friendly condiment that you'll find lots of other delicious uses for including marinades, BBQ sauces and glazes, and stir-frys. x -

Tofu Omelette with Peanut Sauce Tofu Omelette with Peanut Sauce
In my home country, Indonesia, we call this dish as Tahu Bumbu. They are usually sold by small vendors along the side of the road in the evening until midnight. Originally the vegetables that go along with this dish are fresh bean sprout and Indonesian cucumber pickles, but here, I replaced them with vegetables that I had in my fridge and stir fry them. Asian Inspired Peanut Sauce Asian Inspired Peanut Sauce
I have tried a few sauces that were okay, but this sauce, inspired by the Kitchen, is my favorite. It is very simple to make, but has such spectacular flavor.Depending upon your desired consistency, add more or less water. For our dish, a half cup was perfect. If you want to use as a salad dressing, use more water. We used ours over noodles/spaghetti, with some chicken. Wow!You will be surprised at how good this sauce is. Just a few simple ingredients.Enjoy! J.A.B.
