Sometimes when my plantain take a long time to get ripened, instead of allowing them get spoilt, I just boil them. It tastes like yam and it's very nice any sauce. But here, I used egg sauce. It is a quick meal.

Dolmas with Avgolemono Sauce Dolmas with Avgolemono Sauce
Dolma means something stuffed or filled, in Turkey. The sauce originated from Sephardi Jewish Cuisine from Iberia. Egg and lemon sauce is used in a lot of Middle Eastern, Greek, and Balkans cuisine. There are more areas that have a version of this sauce. I added honey and sugar so the granddaughters would eat them.Sometimes these are stuffed with minced/ground meat, nuts, fruit, vegetables and so on. Sometimes cornstarch is used to help thicken the sauce. We like this version so I stick with it. skunkmonkey101 -

Sig's Crispy Duck Egg with Herb, Honey and Mustard Sauce Sig's Crispy Duck Egg with Herb, Honey and Mustard Sauce
I love duck eggs , was just a little fed up with eating them just boiled. I thought of my other deep fried egg recipe on here, but wanted something a little different. Then I thought of making Scotch Eggs with them, but decided to just use flour, egg and breadcrumb mix instead. They make awesome very yellow sponge cakes too. They are heavier than chicken eggs, they usually work out about two duck eggs to three chicken eggs, but can vary hugely in size so weigh then up against chicken eggs. Sigrun -
Plump Shrimp with Chili Sauce Plump Shrimp with Chili Sauce
I used to coat the shrimp in katakuriko and then fry them, but then I saw recipe that boiled them so I decided to try it. Since it turned out quite delicious, I've started making this dish that way. These also taste good if you coat the shrimp in tempura coating and fry them, before seasoning them with the sauce. It will become a very filling dish. Please adjust the amount of doubanjiang to your preferences. Don't boil the shrimp for too long or they will become tough. You can optionally add 1 egg as a topping at the end, which will make the spiciness a bit milder but it will be just as delicious. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221 cookpad.japan -

Fluffy and Creamy Chives and Egg in a Thick Savory Sauce Fluffy and Creamy Chives and Egg in a Thick Savory Sauce
I love thick "an" sauce, so I tried it with chives and egg. I didn't use soy sauce or oyster sauce. It's a salt-base "an" sauce.Fluffy scrambled eggs gently tossed with thick chive sauce is visually appealing. Be sure to turn off the heat before adding the katakuriko. This is delicious served over rice. Since it's lightly seasoned, feel free to adjust the ingredients to taste. Recipe by Hikachuu cookpad.japan -
