Cooking Instructions

Boil water and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Wash your local beans, Add your local beans and cook for like 3 hours

Pound your achicha and put inside nylon with water to cook it

Put the tied achicha inside the local beans and allow to cook for like 1hr

Sieve your local beans and achicha separately.

It is delicious but takes time

Fry red oil and add enough onions, yellow pepper, ugba and salt and allow for like 5 minutes

Put your local beans and achicha and stire very well

Then serve with garden egg leaf and fry fish.

Alakpa is a very nutritious soup and the main ingredient is beans. It's a major Nigerian delicacy and it's name as well as cooking method differs from culture to culture.
