Ingredients

  1. 8.8 ozyoung jackfruit, cut into pieces
  2. 4chicken wings
  3. 1 packetinstant coconut milk
  4. 1/2 cupbrewed tea from 1 tea bag
  5. 2.6 ozpalm sugar, thinly sliced
  6. 1.2 inchesgalangal, crushed
  7. 3bay leaves
  8. spice paste:
  9. 6shallots
  10. 4 clovesgarlic
  11. 3roasted candlenuts
  12. 1 tsproasted coriander
  13. 1/2 tspsalt
  14. 1/2 tspmushroom bouillon
  15. 1/4 tspground pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Layer the chicken at the bottom, then add the jackfruit, bay leaves, galangal, palm sugar, coconut milk, brewed tea, and spice paste in the slow cooker.

    Cook for 8 hours on low setting.

    At the 8-hour mark, stir to mix the spices better. Taste and adjust seasoning. Cook for another 2 hours on high setting.

    Tadaaa! Savory and not too sweet. Haha.. If you want it drier, just heat it on the stove.
