  2. 3 tablespoonscake flour (about 25 grams)
  3. 2 teaspoonsmilk powder (about 5 grams)
  4. 1 teaspoonbutter (about 5 grams)
  5. 7 tablespoonsmilk (about 105 grams)
  6. 1/2 teaspooninstant yeast (about 2 grams)
  7. 1/3 teaspoonsalt (about 2 grams)
  8. 1 teaspoongranulated sugar (about 5 grams)
  9. as neededRed food coloring,
  10. Chocolate, as needed (for decoration)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Place the flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl, making sure the salt and sugar are not directly next to the yeast.

  2. 2

Mix the red food coloring with the milk.

  3. 3

Pour the milk from step 2 into the flour mixture and mix until it forms a dough. Add the softened butter and knead for about 10-15 minutes until the dough can be stretched thin and a membrane forms.

  4. 4

Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for the first time (1 hour).

  5. 5

Press the air out of the risen dough and divide it into 9 portions, plus a small piece for the nose and ears. Shape into balls and let rise for a second time for 15 minutes.

  6. 6

Add more red food coloring to the dough for the ears and nose to deepen the color.

  7. 7

Press the air out of the dough from the second rise, shape into balls, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let rise for a final 30 minutes.

  8. 8

Attach the pig's nose and ears to the dough using water.

  9. 9

Bake in the oven at 320°F (160°C) for 10 minutes, then at 265°F (130°C) for 15 minutes. Once the bread has cooled slightly, use melted chocolate to dot on the eyes, and it's done.
