Buttered cream icing

I wanted to surprise my son by giving him something different for the Christmas party at his school so decided to try these.

My sisters birthday was coming up. so I decided to make something special for her.

I make English Toffee for my son for his birthday every year. He had mentioned that he had tried a pistachio Toffee that was really good so I decided to surprise him with this c toffee. Pistachios make a great toffee and this was very easy to make and so good!

This isn't my recipe, but I was looking for something like this and I couldn't find it in this app. So I decided to share it.

I searched high and low for a decent thumbprint recipe... some had milk, some had orange juice... I just wanted something basic. My first batch turned out too flat but after tweaking, this recipe turned out much better. Going to try making them next time with sugar instead of brown sugar to give it a more shortbread like taste.

Yesterday was my dad's birthday. We had a homemade Japanese meal at home, and I made this cake for him the night before. To my surprise, he really liked the lava part.

My daughter just had her first birthday, and her favorite flavor is "nana", so I decided Banana Pudding Cake was perfect! So moist and rich, offset by a sweet marshmallow cream cheese icing, this cake was a hit and in the budget! Had to share 😘

I made my coworker her first Oreo Bday Cake today using this icing. I ran out of milk that my recipe needed so I improvised with what I had on hand and it came out phenomenal! Not too overly sweet but was creamy and had a nice "crust" on the icing once it dried. Definitely my go to recipe for cake decorating!

I got tired of all the steps it takes to get the most simple of things done! So, I decided to cut out the other stuff and just have a simple frosting that tastes great! Cheap and easy, my favorite!
