Ingredients

  1. 1 bunchmethi leaves, washed and finely chopped
  2. For methi malai paneer:
  3. 3 tbspoil
  4. 1 tspcumin seeds
  5. 1bay leaf
  6. 4cloves
  7. 2 podscardamom
  8. 1 inchcinnamon stick
  9. 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  10. 1/2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  11. 1green chilli, slit length wise
  12. 1 tspcoriander powder
  13. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  14. 1 cuptomato pulp
  15. 1 tspsugar
  16. 3/4 cupmilk
  17. to tastesalt
  18. 1/4 cupmalai / fresh cream
  19. 1/4 cupwater
  20. 10-15 cubespaneer
  21. 1/4 tspgaram masala powder

Cooking Instructions

    First of all heat oil and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick and saute.

    Add ginger garlic paste, green chilli and onions and saute.

  3. 3

    Add spice powder like chilli powder, turmeric and coriander powder and stir.
    Also add tomato pulp and saute till it thickens.

    Saute till the masala start to release oil and then add methi leaves and sugar and salt.
    saute for a minute.

    Now add milk, cream and water.
    also add paneer cubes and give a gentle mix.

  6. 6

    Add garam masala,cover and simmer for 2 minutes.
    finally, serve methi malai paneer with chapathi or paratha.
