Ingredients

  1. 150-200 gmsGreen methi
  2. 1/2 cupMatar
  3. 2/3 cupMalai
  4. 2big onion finely chopped
  5. 4-5garlic cloves
  6. 1/2 inchpiece of ginger
  7. 2green chillies
  8. 2-3big tomatoes
  9. 5-6cashewnuts
  10. 1/2 tspGaram masala
  11. 1 tspHaldi powder
  12. 1 tspDhaniya powder
  13. 1 tbspMirch powder or as per taste
  14. 1 tbspKasoori methi
  15. as requiredSalt as per taste
  16. 2 tbspOil

Cooking Instructions

    First wash out the green methi properly.
    Blanch the matar.

  2. 2

    Now heat the pan add 1 tsp oil add methi, pinch of salt and cook till the methi releases it's water and keep aside.

    Now same pan add 2 tbsp oil add chopped onion and saute till becomes golden brown.

  4. 4

    Add haldi, dhaniya, mirch powder and salt and saute for a minute

  5. 5

    Add pure of tomato, garlic, ginger, chilli, cashew nuts and cook till the oil separates from it.

  6. 6

    Add malai and stir for couple of minutes

  7. 7

    Add matar, methi and half cup of water stir well, cover the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame.

    Add kasoori methi, garam masala cook for a while

  9. 9

    Ready to serve methi matar malai with roti, paratha,naan...It's yummmm
