Vegan Amaranth, Dates and Almond Laddoo Vegan Amaranth, Dates and Almond Laddoo
This recipe for Amaranth laddoo is nothing like the traditional one. It has only 3 main ingredients: amaranth, dates and almonds! It is soft and sticky with a little bit of bite from the amaranth and crunch from the almonds. I have used just dates for sweetening so it’s refined sugar free! It’s quick and easy to make and is a perfect dessert option especially for those who cannot consume much sugar, diabetics etc.Include them in your or your children’s lunch box.http://www.theculinarytrail.com/vegan-amaranth-dates-and-almond-laddoo-recipe The Culinary Trail -
Vegan Healthy Bites, Vegan Workout Snack Vegan Healthy Bites, Vegan Workout Snack
Nutritious, no added sugar, good for a pre/ post work-out snack or snack in general. This recipe should make 6 to 9 balls - depending on the size you choose. Dates and raisins are used for sweetness and to let all elements stick to each other. You can leave-out or add-in any ingredients except the dates - they are the base of these snack balls. A Delicious Way to Enjoy Dates A Delicious Way to Enjoy Dates
These go great with white wine! I make them as an appetizer when hosting parties.Dates are originally from the Middle East. They are very similar to dried Japanese persimmons. In England and Australia there is a sweet dessert that uses the excellent combination of dates and caramel called "Sticky Date Pudding." Umm Ali (Egyptian Dessert) Umm Ali (Egyptian Dessert)
#post15 - This is a traditional Egyptian dessert that is very popular in all Middle Eastern countries, especially during Ramadan. It is made of puff pastry / croissant and is almost similar to bread pudding, but without any eggs. It is very simple to prepare where all you need is to pour thickened milk over some shredded croissant, followed by some cream, coconut and chopped nuts. It is then baked till done. Can be enjoyed hot or cold. I prefer the latter one. So here is my version where I added some khoya and flavoured it with cardamom powder and some rose water instead of the usual vanilla essence that is used. #goldenapron Bethica Das -

Fig and dates smoothie Fig and dates smoothie
This smoothie is sugar free and is perfect way to curb your hunger especially during fasting as it will keep you full. I love how it tastes and I am sure you will too!It contains no Ice cream but this milkshake still turns out rich and creamy. Combining dates and figs into this thick and filling smoothie is the best thing that you could do to yourself. If you plan on making it for suhoor, remember to soak the dates, figs, nuts and seeds overnight. For iftar just soak for a few hours.I find it most satisfying as a thick smoothie, but feel free to play with proportions until it fits your preference!Sweet and creamy Fig and Dates Smoothie is a healthy and decadent treat to start your morning right! Dates Pickled in Orange Juice Dates Pickled in Orange Juice
I saw a recipe in a dessert cookbook from overseas which used dates pickled in orange juice, so I bought some orange juice and tried to make it. Dates pickled in brandy or rum are often used in pound cakes, but dates pickled in orange juice are unusual, so I wrote up the recipe. The dates will dissolve if you leave them to soak for too long, so only leave them for a day or two. I recommend you only make the amount you want to eat! Recipe by Uchidenokozuchi cookpad.japan
