Cooking Instructions
- 1
This dish is appropriate for ovo vegetarians.
- 2
For the sauce, add peanut butter, oil, soy sauce, honey and ginger to a microwave safe container.
- 3
Cover and heat for 30 seconds. Stir. If peanut butter is not melted enough to mix thoroughly, heat for and additional 15 seconds if needed. Once the sauce is blended, set aside.
- 4
For the fritters, add the flour, egg, grated ginger and salt to a bowl and mix well.
- 5
Fold in the cucumber and onion.
- 6
The batter should be thick and coat the vegetables, but if it needs a bit more moisture, dribble a bit of water until the desired consistency is obtained. Be careful not to add too much water.
- 7
Heat oil in frying pan. When it reaches cooking temperature, drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
- 8
When the fritters start to turn brown, flip them and cook on the other side.
- 9
Place cooked fritters on a paper towel to absorb excess oils. Serve warm with peanut sauce.

Banana Fritters with Sweet & Spicy Soy Sauce Dip Banana Fritters with Sweet & Spicy Soy Sauce Dip
These days, banana fritters are served with wide variety of toppings or extras like #syrup, #honey, #icecream, #chocolate, powdered sugar, #caramel sauce, creamy #custard and even grated #cheese. We, however, still love our banana #fritters served with very much #Asian flavour, The #Sweet & #Spicy Soy Sauce #Dip.Note:1. For the Fritters - Avoid using overripe bananas. We use Cavendish bananas; the only bananas that are widely available and sold here.2. For the sauce - Adjust chillies accordingly.3. Flour - use equal portion of 4 flours listed in the recipe to make the batter, depending on how many bananas on hand.4. To make the batter, some use cold water or lemonade (clear carbonated drinks). We use tap water.#dessert #teatime #banana #starch #heirloom #familyrecipe #breakfast #lunch #dinner #cucur #cucurpisang #pisang #bananafritters Pinkblanket's Kitchen -

Tofu Omelette with Peanut Sauce Tofu Omelette with Peanut Sauce
In my home country, Indonesia, we call this dish as Tahu Bumbu. They are usually sold by small vendors along the side of the road in the evening until midnight. Originally the vegetables that go along with this dish are fresh bean sprout and Indonesian cucumber pickles, but here, I replaced them with vegetables that I had in my fridge and stir fry them.
