Ingredient used: Red lentils (Masoor Dal)
Cooking Instructions

Wash the masoor dal and put it in a pressure cooker.

Add water, turmeric powder, salt and cook for 1 whistle.

Now take a pan and add mustard oil.

Once hot, add the sliced onion and cook for 2 minutes till translucent.

Now add the chopped tomatoes.

Now add the cumin powder and coriander powder.

Now add the slit green chillies.

Now pour the prepared dal onto this.

Mix well and add the freshly chopped coriander leaves and bring it to a boil.

Now heat ghee in another pan.

Once hot add the cumin seeds and red chilli powder.

Now pour this in the prepared dal
and serve hot with steamed white rice.
