Ingredients

15 mins
2 bowls
  1. 2 cupswater
  2. 2 cubeschicken bouillon
  3. 1/2 tablespoonsoy sauce
  4. 1 pinchwhite pepper
  5. 2 stalksfresh chives
  6. 1 teaspooncornstarch (optional)
  7. 2 teaspoonwater (optional)
  8. 2eggs

Cooking Instructions

15 mins
  1. 1

    Bring water and bouillon to boil to make broth

  2. 2

    Chop chives and whisk eggs while broth comes to boil

  3. 3

    Add soy sauce & white pepper to broth

  4. 4

    If you like your egg drop soup thicker, make a slurry by whisking corn starch into a tiny bit o’ water, then add to soup

  5. 5

    Slowly stir in whisked eggs and reduce heat, let simmer until eggs are cooked to preference

  6. 6

    Move to bowls and add chives

  7. 7

    Not hungover? Try adding chopped mushrooms, and water chestnuts to kick it up a notch

Welcome to the world of cooking with a hand full of camera it's a blast my daughter got me into it then moved to elpaso Texas so I haven't put very many on here but have plenty to share bbq Cajun seafood just holler

    This recipe really is simple. It's light tasing and delightful to boot.I do not add any salt to this recipe for two reasons.1. I use salted broth anyway so I don't feel the need.2. Adding salt when using cornstarch can result in the dish actually NOT thickening up properly. Especially if the salt is added after the cornstarch.
