Ingredients

  • 1 cupGram flour
  • 2 tbspAll purpose flour
  • 1 tbspRice flour
  • 1/2 tspBlack pepper powder
  • To tasteSalt
  • 1 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspBaking powder
  • 1/2 cupCurd
  • as neededWater
  • 1 cupChopped cabbage
  • 1 cupChopped coriander leaves
  • 1 cupGrated carrot
  • 2 cupsChopped spnich
  • 1/2 cupChopped spring onion
  • as neededOil for shallow fry
  • 1/2 cupSpring onion for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    In a large mixing bowl add the gram flour, all purpose flour, rice flour, black pepper powder, salt, turmeric powder and baking powder. Whisk to combine.

  2. 2

    Add the curd and water and whisk well to remove any lumps.

  3. 3

    Add cabbage, coriander leaves, carrot, spnich and spring onion and mix well.

  4. 4

    Lightly brush the pan with a little oil.

  5. 5

    Laddle some of the batter on the hot pan and spread the batter around to make a rather thin pancake.

  6. 6

    Drizzle some oil around the pancake and cook until golden brown on both sides.

  7. 7

    Flip again and cook for a final one minute.

  8. 8

    Then remove from the pan and place into a serving plate.

  9. 9

    Garnish with chopped spring onions.

  10. 10

    Serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
