Stuffed Gulkand Modak

#ganesha
The Festival of Ganesh Chathurti is celebrated all across India and abroad.
It is Believed that Lord Ganesha 'The SUKHAKARTA and DUKHAHARTAH' as we call him enters our bones bringing, joy, health and wealth with him and goes back on the 10th day by invading all our sorrows and problems.
We all serve him with his favourite food like modaks, ladoos and lots of food to make him happy along with Vratas, hymns and prayers.
This is my family favourite because it's very delicate, mildly sweet and tastes like a piece of heaven. It's so very easy to prepare that within 10 minutes your prasad will be ready if you have been busy, but it looks like you were spending hours in your kitchen to make these.
I am using a modak mould here, but you can prepare without mould too.

Steps
- 1
Mix the stuffing and keep aside.
- 2
Mix all ingredients for coverings together
- 3
I made one batch with colour and also little without colour.
- 4
Start by pressing some of the covering mixture into the mould. Any mold can be used. Make a cavity by your index finger.
- 5
Fill in the gulkand and dry fruit masala.
- 6
Cover the coconut mixture.
- 7
Make all the modaks and you are ready to offer the prasad to Ganeshji.
- 8
These small bites of heaven are really worth trying and they are so easy to prepare.
- 9
If you do not have mould just make small ball and press hole in centre and fill in a little gulkand and dry fruit masala, cover the hole and roll into a ball or give a shape of a modak or any other shape that you like.
