An easy peasy and no doubt tasty recipe from grandmother's kichen.
Steps

Wash and soak chana dal for 30 minutes.

Put chana dal,onion,tomatoe,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,garam masala powder and salt in a pressure cooker.

Add 2 cups water.Cover the lid and cook on high flame till 2 whistles.

Simmer the flame to lower and further cook for 5 minutes.

Let pressure release itself.Mix and adjust the consistency of your choice.Add blended curd.Mix.Take out in serving dish.

Heat ghee in a tadka pan.Add chopped onion and cumin seeds.Fry till golden.Remove from flame,add 1tea spoon kashmiri chilli powder and pour over dalcha.

Dalcha is ready to serve.Serve with boiled hot rice.
