Steps

Boil 2 cup of water with 1 tsp of tea leaves. Wash the channas & soak them in cooker with tea leaves water (drain the tea leaves with strainer) Soak them overnight or 4 -5 hours.

Next day,boil them in the cooker. After a whistle,cook on low flame for 20 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan with bay leaf. When it becomes brown, add chopped onions & cook till they become golden brown.

Now add all the ingredients & saute. Add ground tomatoes & cook till oil spreads from corners.

Open the lid & pour the masala in it with tamarind juice. Cook on low flame till all the water is absorbed.

Garnish with coriander leaves &serve hot with puri or bathurey.
