Wash palak and chop fine. Wash the daal. Finely chop ginger. Put all ingredients into the pressure cooker and add salt. Now add one cup of water. Pressure cook it on slow heat for at least 5 whistle. When the pressure settles down open the lid and mash it with the help of spatula.

In small pan heat mustard oil. When oil medium hot add broken chilli and hing. Add this tampering into the saag.

Serve hot with wheat/makka roti with radish and green coriander chutney.
