In a mixing bowl mash potato and add corn flour, salt, chilli powder, garam masala and mango powder and mix thoroughly. Make a soft dough. If need be add corn flour extra.

Boil chana Daal in a pressure cooker with salt and turmeric powder. Cook for 5 minutes after first whistle. Switch off the flame. When pressure is released from cooker open the lid and drain water from Daal.

Mash boiled chana Daal coarsely I a mixing bowl and add salt chilli powder garam masala and mango powder and mix well.

Now make small balls of potato dough. Flatten it between your palms and make a disc. Fill this disc with Daal mixture and cover it by bringing edges together. Flatten again.

Likewise make all the tikkis.

Now heat a griddle and shallow fry tikkis till golden brown. Flip the side and fry from other side also.

Likewise make all the tikkis.

Serve hot with tamarind chutney and green chutney.
