Method:
Heat oil and fry onions till golden brown. Add whole spices and saute well. Now add tomatoes, potatoes, green chutney and stir. Adjust salt and add little water if needed. Keep stirring till oil separates. Now lower the flame, cover and let it cook till the potatoes are well cooked.
Now add chick peas, rice, salt and chickpea water as required and cook the rice till done. Set it on dum for the rice to fluff. - 2
Lastly heat 3 to 4 tbsp ghee, fry around 5 slit green chilies till crispy and give tarka to the rice.
Serve with raita
of choice. Enjoy!
