Dissolve the yeast in water (milk) add sugar, butter, egg and mix gradually add in flour until a soft dough is form knead fir 8-10 minutes. Place in a warm place to rise or double in size. Punch the dough and make balls. On a floured surface roll each ball with your hands to make a long strip, join the ends and make one end cross the other twice or 3 times. Allow them to rise again and fry in hot oil. Dust with icing sugar and serve.
