Ingredients

  1. 1 cuprava or samolina
  2. 3/4 cupsugar
  3. 2 tbsp ghee
  4. 2 tbsp chopped dry fruits
  5. 1 1/2 cupwater (you can use milk also)
  6. Fewsaffron strands
  7. 2 tbsp milk

Cooking Instructions

    Heat 1 tbsp ghee and fry the dry fruits till they become golden brown and then keep it aside. In a small bowl take 2 tblspn milk and soak some saffron strands.

    Now add the rest ghee and the rava. Fry the rava till the raw smell goes away and it become slightly brown.

    Now add the water and sugar. Cook it till the water evaporates and it becomes thick. Add the saffron soaked milk.

    Finally rava kesari is ready to serve. Set in a small bowl, garnish with chopped nuts and serve it.
