Rava kesari is made during festivals as well as during poojas or auspicious occasions. I often made it for breakfast also. It is also called Suji Halwa or Semolina Halwa , the only difference is the key ingredient Kesari means Saffron colour. This is very easy to make but no doubt Heavenly delicious.

Cooking Instructions

Firstly heat 1tsp ghee in a pan and roast cashew, almond, raisins and Pistachio till golden.

In low-medium flame Heat the remaining ghee in same pan, add rava stir continuously until rava turn golden brown and aromatic.

Meanwhile in a sauce pan add water, sugar, saffron strands and yellow food colour (organic).
Cook until sugar dissolve completely. Turn of flame. - 4
Now in roasted rava add the sugar syrup. Keep the flame on low. Add roasted dry fruits and cardamom powder. Stir continuously for 4-5 minutes or till the rava kesari doesn't stick to the pan at all.
Its ready to serve. - 5
Serve hot or at room temperature. Enjoy.
