Ingredients

  1. 3 piecessnakehead fish (or any firm white fish)
  2. 1/2daikon radish
  3. 1green onion
  4. 1/4onion
  5. Some minced garlic
  6. 2 teaspoonssesame oil (10 ml)
  7. 2 tablespoonssoy sauce (30 ml)
  8. Sweet paprika (I use this for kids instead of Korean chili powder)

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop the green onion and onion. Cut the daikon radish into large pieces.

  2. 2

    Rinse the fish, pat dry, and cut into pieces.

  3. 3

    Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, paprika, green onion, onion, and minced garlic to make the braising sauce.

  4. 4

    Place the daikon radish pieces at the bottom of a pot, then layer the fish on top, and pour the braising sauce over everything.

  5. 5

    Add about 1/2 cup (120 ml) of water to the pot. Cook over the stove until the fish is tender and most of the liquid has reduced.
