Kakara pitha is a sweet deep-fried cake from Odisha offered to temple deities and served hot or cold many festivals.
Steps

Heat kadai & add water(1 cup). Let it boil.

Add sugar (1cup), cardamom powder. Let it boil.

Add grated coconut. Mix it well. Roast till water dry from coconut. Then take aside

Heat kadai & add water(1.5 cup), salt, fennel seeds, sugar(1/2 cup)

After water boil add wheat flour and mix it well. Cook till water absorb. Switch off the flame, take aside & let it cool down.

After that add refined oil(3/8 cup) into it. Mix it well & make a dough.

Make a ball from this dough. Then put the required quantity of stuffing(coconut). Then cover this stuffing. Roll it again to make a ball.

Make the above ball into flat shape with the help of palms.

Heat kadai & add refined oil (for frying). Start dropping pitha one by one to hot oil. Fry both sides till golden brown(medium flame). Transfer it to an absorbent tissue placed in a plate.
