Ingredients

  1. 1 1/4 cupsfine bulgur (about 200 grams)
  2. 10 1/2 ozground beef or lamb (about 300 grams)
  3. Ground beef or lamb (for filling)
  4. Dried marjoram
  5. 3onions
  6. Slivered almonds for garnish
  7. Vegetable oil
  8. Clarified butter (ghee)
  9. Salt
  10. Mixed spices (such as allspice, cinnamon, black pepper)
  11. Kibbeh spice blend
  12. Cashews

Cooking Instructions

    Finely chop the onions and set aside a small portion for later.

    Grind the meat using a food processor or meat grinder.

    In a pot, heat oil and fry the almonds and cashews until golden, then set them aside.

    After soaking the bulgur, place it in a large bowl and mix it with the kibbeh meat and the reserved chopped onions. Add salt, spices, and chopped marjoram. Knead the mixture well.
