First, sift the flour with the baking powder three times. Set aside. Separately, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Once they are whipped, add half of the sugar. Then add the yolks with the vanilla and the other half of the sugar, until they are fluffy and pale.

Gently fold the yolks into the whites and gradually add the flour, folding gently. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured pan.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes. Check with a toothpick, and if it comes out clean, it's ready. Remove from the oven and let cool.

For the three milks, simply mix all the ingredients. If you like, you can add some liqueur. Use this mixture to soak the cake, fill with fruit of your choice and a bit of whipped cream. Decorate as desired.
