In the bowl of your stand mixer, mix the butter with the powdered sugar and salt, then beat until the mixture is pale and has doubled in volume.

Add the egg white and vanilla extract, then mix with a spatula until the dough is well combined.

Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Using a piping bag fitted with a star tip, pipe the bredeles into shapes of your choice onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes. After baking, let the bredeles cool on a wire rack.
