Mix yeast and water stir until dissolved, add sugar and stir again until dissolved.

Add salt to flour then mix, add in yeast mixture and oil then combine, add in milk and knead to form a soft dough. Cover with cling film for 1hr until it doubles in size.

Chop onion and place in a pan and add cooking oil and fry until golden brown then add in grated carrots and tomatoes. You can add spices of choice.

Let it form a thick paste then add in tomatoe paste while adding water slowly. Be keen not to add too much water. Keep stirring for about 5min until cooked.

Roll dough to form a circle and cut to 8pieces

Make 8 small balls too and place them each on the 8 pieces and fold

Cover them for 30min egg wash and bakefor 30-40min at 190 degrees then serve.

Make some kachumbari
