Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgpotatoes peeled and sliced thinly into coin shapes
  2. Vegetable oil for deep frying
  3. 1 cupwater
  4. 1 cupall purpose flour
  5. 1egg
  6. 1 tbspgaram masala
  7. Garlic paste
  8. salt
  9. 1/4 tspFood color (tomato red)
  10. 1/4 tspcumin powder

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Pour the flour in a bowl and mix in all the spices with water to make the batter. Make it slightly thicker than that of pancakes.

    Dip the sliced potatoes in the batter, one at a time. Make sure they are completely immersed and the coat is evenly distributed.

  3. 3

    Heat your vegetable oil in a deep frying cooking pan.
    Drain your potato slices of extra batter and then dip them into the hot oil carefully.

  4. 4

    Turn the slices once they turn golden brown so that they can cook evenly.

  5. 5

    Use your skimmer to remove them from the oil and place them in an underlined bowl to absorb extra oil.

  6. 6

    Serve with homemade tomato sauce
