Cooking Instructions

First prepare the sugar Syrup,boil 1 cup water with 1 cup sugar plus candamon and tea masala until they are sticky to touch.like honey.Once ready let it cool.

Grate lemon skin in a bowl,squeeze in the lemon juice and add in the baking powder.it will effervesence.Add sugar and stir

Add warm water,add the flour and start mixing.do this while adding the warm water gradually and milk bringing it to a gummy consistency and the oil And continue folding it in.until well mixed.cover for 15minutes.

Use a piping bag.fill it with the batter.put oil in a pan/small sufuria let it boil.while pressing the piping bag,cut the batter into the oil using scissors to produce small ball into the oil.fry until golden brown.

Pour the cool sugar syrup onto the hot luqaimat.let it soak for a minute.Enjoy with beverage of your choice!

I made the recipe before with pancake mix but wondered if I could make it without it, and the cake was a huge success.My friends were also waiting for it, they're really happy that they can make roll cakes now too.Make sure to keep an eye on the sponge when baking it so that it doesn't burn.I recommend putting the aluminium foil on top just before the cake starts to burn.When it's been baking for 5 minutes, check to see if it's done with a skewer at 1 minute intervals thereafter.When rolling, if you put the cake back on the baking tray you can roll it more easily.Roll it in one go, going from the side closest to you to further away.If you lightly cut 3 lines on the bottom of the sponge at 1 cm intervals you can roll it more easily.
