There is no better food in the world than lángos! Good, of course it is, but you also know that in the summer, during a bike ride, or on one of our lakes / rivers, we all eat a flame on the beach. So if you don’t get to the lake shore, open the windows, inflate the pool, paddle, and eat lots of flames, and have a beer!

Ingredients

  • 700 mllukewarm water
  • 50 gfresh or 20g dried yeast
  • 1 1/2 tspsugar (granulated)
  • 1000 gBread Flour
  • 3 tspsalt
  • Plenty of oil for frying
  • Topping:
  • Soured Cream
  • Grated Cheese

Steps

    In a lukewarm water stir the yeast in, add the sugar and let yeast to rise. (Takes 4-5 minutes)

  2. 2

    Mix the salt with flour and pour the yeasty water, then knead into a solid dough. Cover the dough in a bowl with a kitchen cloth for hour raising to double size.

  3. 3

    Until the dough is raising, heat the oil up to 175-180C°

  4. 4

    With an oily hand, tear a tennis ball sizes from the dough and, shape into a thin, disc-shaped shape and fry them in plenty of hot oil. Just a few minutes on both sides is good enough.

  5. 5

    Take them on a paper towel, smear them thickly with sour cream and sprinkle with a good large portion of cheese.
